Time is flying

Well, Aryana is going to be ten months this week, and Lee and I can't believe it. Time is going by so fast. Aryana is getting bigger.

Our little hoodlum

When we put her down on her tummy, she goes directly to the crawling position, which is exciting. However, she doesn't stay there long and falls down on her tummy. When we put her down to sitting, she now goes directly to standing. She has to hold on to us, but she really likes standing. The premature baby syndrome is hitting her in this department, but it is ok, she will get moving one of these days.

Playing with her baby piano on New Year's Eve

She gets bored really easily now. I would say her attention span is about 5 minutes, so we constantly have to have something different for her to play with.

Some many toys to choose from

Aryana is eating really well too. She has finished her weekly round of food to see whether or not see is allergic to it, and now pretty much eats what we eat. The only thing she does not eat is the year foods. Eating at the dinner table is fun because Lee and I mashed up what we are eating and give it to her. If there is something that she can't have yet, I normally give her one of her baby food jars, and she is not very happy and begins to get fussy because she really likes eating Mommy's and Daddy's food. I gave her a cheeseburger for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and she loved it. She put the food in her mouth, chewed it, and gave me a huge grin.

Dinnertime always goes so smoothly

Premature babies normally have to play catch up with the rest of the babies. Aryana started to teethe a couple of weeks ago. Lee and I noticed one of her bottom teeth poking through. However, Aryana was laying on her back with her head up looking out the window, and I noticed that her top two teeth were coming in too! She currently has 4 teeth coming in all at once. (Talk about catch up) She is taking like a pro because she hasn't been really fussy. She only really wants something in her mouth at all times.

She really wants to talk to us now. She talks gibberish about something, and surprisingly Lee and I can understand her. I guess that comes with parenting. She is saying ba-ba, ma-ma, and da-da constantly in one single phrase, so we can say that those mamas and dadas are her first words.

Unfortuantely everyone's favorite feature of Aryana is now ending. Her hair has finally decided to come down. Since about a couple of weeks ago, her hair stuck straight up, but it is slowly coming down at the top.
